Remembering the Past, Looking to the Future

Barb and Dan 35-year recognitionAt the annual Technology Center staff picnic, Ron Cline, past president of HCJB Global, presented us with a plague recognizing 35 years of ministry. Barb spent two years with ABWE in Brazil and three years with the Christian Missionary Alliance in Ecuador before marrying Dan and joining HCJB in 1983. Dan worked on radio automation systems in Ecuador from 1977 until 1984. After a short time of work at mission headquarters, we were assigned to Elkhart where Dan has helped design high-power transmitters, set up the computer network at the Technology Center, and construct a radio station in the Central African Republic.

In the future, Dan looks forward to helping partners use not only radio, but also smartphone and computer tablet technology for evangelism and discipleship. The technology changes, but our desire to use it to communicate the gospel of Christ remains the same.

We consider it a privilege to use our time and talents for the Lord’s work and hope to continue in this work as God provides through his people.
