During the week, Dan does research for using computer technology in discipleship and evangelism, and he keeps the computer networks going at the Technology Center. On the weekend, he teaches a senior-high guys Sunday School class. The hours of preparation for class and the contact with the younger set provide perspective and ministry on a personal level.
Barb continues to work half-time as the media specialist at Elkhart Christian Academy as a ministry and to supplement our financial support. She also manages the Technology Center Facebook page (http://facebook.com/hcjbtech), and serves as our church’s Sunday School superintendent.
Our daughter, Jenny, is working as a bilingual receptionist at a local doctor’s office. Her husband, Oscar, completed seven months of English class and has started working at a local restaurant where he practices his English. On Sundays, they are involved in the music ministry of a local Spanish church. Jenny and Oscar are still planning to go into full-time ministry and are investigating several possibilities.
Emily continues to work at a local credit union. She is involved in our church a couple of days each week and volunteers at a local non-profit specializing in therapeutic horseback riding for handicapped children.
John, our youngest, lives in Indianapolis where he has two jobs — one as an apprentice meat cutter and another working for an aquarium service company (his real passion).
