After nearly two years of paperwork, the immigrant visa for our son-in-law, Oscar, was approved. Lord willing, on January 8, Jenny and Oscar will arrive in the U.S. where they plan to live for the better part of the next three years. Their long-term goal is to pursue fulltime Christian ministry in Mexico, but in the meantime, they hope to find employment and minister in an Hispanic church in the U.S.
In October, Emily took time off from her job at a local credit union to be part of a short-term mission trip to Haiti. She had a good time assisting a nurse and doing some painting for Kids Alive International.
